Do you have stock plans you build from?
Top >>As a Custom Cabinetry builder, we build cabinetry for your home and your lifestyle. We will generate an individualized computer design layout to best meet your needs.
What woods do I have to choose from?
Top >>The options are endless when choosing the wood of your cabinetry. Do you like dark or light? Vivid grain or clear? Hardwood or softwood? What style of cabinetry would match your home? Some popular species right now are oak, hickory, maple, and cherry.
What sort of finishes do you use?
Top >>I will help you decide what is the best finish for your cabinetry. Each type of finish has distinct advantages and disadvantages. But based
on the intended use of the object, the desired "look", and the maintenance needed, there is probably a "best" finish for your specific cabinetry.
Can you make custom cabinetry for less than I can buy it at a home improvement retailer?
Top >>Probably not. Because inferior materials are often used, bought and manufactured in bulk, in larger facilities...and then usually built outside of the country...production, store-bought cabinetry is usually less expensive than the exact same custom piece. But, Fischer's Custom Cabinetry is CUSTOM and builds each cabinet to your specific needs and desires. We will always work within your budget and you will determine the cost of your cabinetry.
How much does it cost?
Top >>Our cost is based on several factors. Species of wood is one variable. For instance, cherry is one of the most expensive hardwoods...sometimes twice as expensive as oak. Curly maple fluctuates dramatically in pricing. Finish choice, as well as the number of cabinets to be built also determine cost. The complexity of some cabinetry will increase the cost as well.
When do I pay for my cabinets and how much do I pay?
Top >>When you have determined that Fischer's Custom Cabinetry wil complete your project, a deposit of 50% of the bid is required. Upon receipt of your deposit, your cabinetry is placed on the calendar for construction. We will be in constant communication regarding installation date. The balance of your bid must be received upon delivery of your project.
Do you accept payment by credit card?
Top >>I currently do not accept credit card payments. Payment can be made by check or money order.
What is the average lead time required to design, build, and install my cabinetry?
Top >>The time it takes from our initial meeting and then installing your cabinets can vary considerably depending on many factors. How many projects are ahead of you, the level of complexity of your project, the timeliness of other contractors on your project, and more, all contribute to the time frame. When you determine that Fischer's Custom Cabinetry will complete your project, I will do my best to give you an accurate estimate of when your cabinetry will be installed. I will stay in touch with you and keep you informed of the progress.
